We’re proud to feature the Sky Blue History Podcast, an independent Coventry City history show hosted by Jim Brown & Claudio Cardellino. It’s their show, not ours, so everything here links straight back to them.
The Sky Blue History Podcastis a labour of love dedicated entirely to the history of Coventry City. Hosted by the club’s official historian Jim Brown alongside lifelong Sky Blues supporter Claudio Cardellino, every episode digs into the people, matches and moments that built the club we love.
One week it’s the famous 1963 FA Cup run or the glory of 1987, the next it’s forgotten competitions, record-breaking goalkeepers, the club’s foreign players, or a chat with a former Sky Blue about their days in the side. It’s Coventry City history told properly, by the people who know it best.
The podcast launched in 2024, growing out of Jim’s long-running “Jim Brown’s Journal” and decades of research into the Sky Blues. Teaming up with Claudio, the pair turned that archive into a conversation.
Since then it has built a deep and ever-growing back catalogue of episodes, released regularly across Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube, and become essential listening for anyone who wants to understand where Coventry City came from.
Coventry City's official club historian
Jim is Coventry City's official club historian and a founding member and former chairman of the Coventry City Former Players' Association. He has written many books on the Sky Blues, including co-authoring the landmark “Coventry City: A Complete Record”, and pens the long-running “Jim Brown's Journal”, often featured in the Coventry Telegraph. If it happened to City, Jim knows the date, the score and the scorer.

A lifelong Coventry City supporter, Claudio co-hosts the show and brings the fan's-eye view: steering each conversation, asking the questions we'd all ask, and keeping decades of Sky Blue history accessible, warm and genuinely good fun.
